Websites for Writers
I thought it might be great to publish a few other websites for writers looking for work and/or exposure that are available on the internet.
I had recently come across a new website I had not heard of before and it is called TRIOND. This website is actually great for anyone who desires to publish print, or photography and media arts including musical compositions. However, it is a paid submission by way of accumulated revenue over the month and each person is paid 50% of that revenue. Triond receives the other 50%. There is no present capability to be rewarded with any upfront payment fees, only the monthly royalty payments.
However, considering this: Triond accepts no copyright entitlements to your works. Your original works continue to remain in your possession to do with however you feel fit in the future.
Some other websites which may fit your writing career needs are Creative Moonlighter and Rose Dog. These websites offer writer’s some valuable tools if the writer is an established writer with previous work on hand ie. a portfolio. Rose Dog is unique in that publishers can look at your portfolio and contact you if they are interested in your work displayed on your Rose Dog portfolio.
Now, not to leave out the tech writers . . . Opportunities exist for tech writers at Techwriters (Go figure!)
Media Bistro offers recruiting and jobs in everything media from journalism to photography and book publishing.
Enjoy the journey, and let me know how things work out for you anytime.
Cheers.

Thanks for the info I haven’t heard of Creative Moonlighter so I think I’ll check it out. I did sign up at Triond but it confused me and it’s been a while so maybe I’ve smartened up a bit since then.

That’s great SoapGirl, I hope you enjoy creative moonlight. I’m going to come by your space once I get back from vacation here. In the meantime, enjoy the summer. Cheers!
