“Back to work and school time”

Published by moonsilk at 2:56 pm under Writing, commuting Edit This

Summer time can be a terrible time to stay on top of a freelancer’s career. There are so many distractions; plus, business can be slower all around us as well.

Have you noted any slow cycles or seasons with freelancing? This was an especially difficult year so far for many freelancers, I suspect, with the economy the way it has developed.

Editors could experience some delay during the summer months when it comes to editing student papers and research. It can literally drop to nil … Same with those who do freelance online tutoring. However, the online session dates could be quite varied from the traditional educational system…

Well, it’s September now. Holidays are over. It’s back to work for most of us.

Looking forward to writing more, and seeing more of you again!

I am an editor of a weekly newspaper. We have to be careful with how many freelancer stories we use. I am starting to get a little pickier with stories that are pitched to me. It is definitely a tough time in the journalism industry.
