About
Todays Commute is a news feed delivered to you by a MoonGurl called Moonsilk. She covers the Commute and other cool stuff, like how to get to work without using fossil fuel -7 days a week except when she is blasting off to the moon saving MoonDucks. When she isn’t saving Moon-Ducks, she is trying to save the earth. It’s alot like the daily news, but alot more surreal.
The Road Less Traveled was inspired by layers of meaning, and mistake after mistake. Over the process of tweaking she discovered there is a need to express the daily grind, and the only way out of this endless Commute is to work at home more. Hence, the job blog was born.
Moonsilk:
Just another one-woman-newsfeed - Moonsilk likes to create lemonade out of life’s lemons. Her interest in Soho culture derives from a background in sociology, psychology, and International development, which play a role in her various vignettes. Her love for the environment began long before it became part of our cultural imagination, in the days of long ago when she worked for Greenpeace and people had more important things to do than worry about the environment.
Moonsilk saves fossil fuels by walking, and staying at home. No doubt she could get out more often, but her frequent trips to the moon keep her steady. She likes walking, and talking; photography and all things Art. She and her partner hope to market some craft gifts in the future. Winning the lottery and buying a castle would be top notch on their list too.
Moonsilk doesn’t drive. This made life bananas for her in her daily commute, especially when traveling for 2.5 hours each way to work and university. But her carbon footprint is stellar.
